Phi Rho Love!!

Yesterday and Today I've been working pretty hard on my 5 papers I have to get done this week. One we finished yesterday and I have another one half done. I plan on finishing that one on Wednesday. Tonight I plan on starting on the third. Well, I planned on starting it this morning until I got the best birthday present in the mail. 6 of my sorority sisters got together and sent me letters and presents for my birthday. I love them all so much. Having support from home is always awesome. Well, I have to go turn in my project for another class now, but here's my soundtrack assignment (I added the sound) some pictures of the cool stuff they sent me!

Yay! Weekend!

So I'm officially all caught up as of today! Woo! I spent most of today working up on thermo homework. Yesterday I worked on a report for that class. I have an extra credit report for that class I also need to start working on tomorrow. Next week I think is gunna be a report week. I have I think 4 to work on next week.. woo. Only a week and a half until Allyse is here! yay!
I didn't study all weekend though, I also hung out with Ben on Saturday night in the city and went to this really cool free comedy showing tonight. It was all amateur comedians but they were really good. Afterwards me and Joel went out and got some good cabobs. yum!

Thats all for now. Cheers!

Catch up!

Yesterday I worked to catch up on most of my classes. I did get a lot don't. I still have a bit more work to finish today though and two more lectures to watch. I should be all caught up by tonight though which will be nice.
Today has been a pretty good day at Uni. Classes seem to be going fairly well. I finished one big project last night for a class too. Haha, that's all that's been going on lately though. Can't wait till Allyse gets here in a few weeks. She officially bought her ticket! Awesome! I'm so excited to see her.

Cheers!

Home again, Home again!

On Sunday I made my way back to Brisbane. It took quite a while to get all unpacked, do laundry, get groceries, and get settled in again, so I spent most of Sunday doing those things. On Monday my main plan was to study for my ME375 Final that was today, but of course, like all good plans it was ruined. We had a team meeting at 10 that I was expecting to take an hour... it took 5. Oh well. I ended up studying most of the night and woke up at 6 this morning to continue. Got through everything before the exam and I even think it went fairly well. No matter how it turns out though, it feels wonderful to have one less class to worry about. Well, that was my day today, studying and then the exam. Tomorrow I'll play catch up on all my classes I missed while I was at Cairns. Hopefully that will go well.

Night :)

The Rain Forest!

My final day in Cairns was spent on a tour of the Rainforest and the rainforesty area. Our tour guide was so fun and knowledgeable! He really made the trip enjoyable. Our first stop was at a 500 year old tree. It was HUGE. In the top of the tree were these huge ferns that are the same species of ferns that the dinosaurs used to eat. That's really cool. Because Australia never went through any Ice Ages they still have some unchanged species like that. After the tree we went to see our first volcanic creator lunch. We also took a short trek through the jungle at that point and we all got to swing on a vine. They were so huge. We ate lunch at our second volcanic creator lunch and me and Pat went swimming there. We had some more fun with our underwater cameras there as well. hehe. Then we headed off to see the waterfalls.
At the first waterfall I went swimming again, but it was SO cold. I did get to go behind the waterfall though, that was cool. There was a really cool story about an aboriginal lady that jumped off that waterfall because she couldn't marry the man she loved, now they say you can see her spirit still trying to escape the falls. It's a really cool story because when you look at the center of the falls and then up, it causes an optical illusion of the trees moving towards the sky. Very cool. The next stop on our trip was our last waterfall of the day. By that time we were all pretty exhausted. The last thing on our trip was looking for platypus's. Unfortunately we didn't see any, but it was still fun :)
So, this pic is from snorkeling, it's of green Island, but I forgot to add it in the last one so here it is now. oops.

Snorkeling!!!

Oh my Goodness, Snorkeling is amazing! It's like entering a whole new world. The only bad thing about it was if you try to go too deep you suck in a whole lot of water, and it's bad tasting water. But apart from the bad tasting water it was so cool! So me and Pat left Cairns on a boat at 8 in the morning and headed off the the beautiful Green Island (which is a tiny tiny island in the middle of the reef). We immediately started snorkeling and did that the majority of the 5 hours we had on the island. At one point the tide went out and we found ourself stuck out at sea, but we hopped from sandy spot to sandy spot back to shore and all was well again. Here are my Pictures! oh, p.s. The underwater camera I bought earlier was soo worth it!
